APP Panel member, HE Olusegun Obasanjo, and our Secretariat Deputy Director, Max Bankole Jarrett, both attended the recent Annual Leadership Symposium of the Pan-African Civil Society organization Africa 2.0, in Accra. President Obasanjo, who is also a member of Africa 2.0’s Advisory Board, launched the symposium proceedings with an hour long dialogue with participants, in which he shared his personal perspectives on the essential qualities of leadership and the core lessons he has gained from his experiences as a senior military officer, farmer, political prisoner and democratically elected President of Nigeria. Max, meanwhile, was a facilitator and discussion leader in the symposium workshop on “Harnessing natural resources equitably to achieve social impact”. At the start of that session, he made a presentation on the key findings and recommendations of the 2013 and 2014 Africa Progress Reports, both of which deal directly with these issues. The slides from his power point can be viewed here. If you would like to use any of our infographics in your own presentations, you may download them from the APP website.
