Africa Progress Panel welcomes G8 communiqué 

The two-day summit has produced bold and practical commitments for a fairer, more transparent tax system, but more work is needed on beneficial ownership, the Panel says.

GENEVA, June 18, 2013 – The Africa Progress Panel welcomed a G8 communiqué on Tuesday, which set out a list of practical actions to be taken to crack down on tax evasion and avoidance, but expressed reservations that more work remains to be done on the issue of beneficial ownership.
